MARCO PEETSMA - FINANCE MANAGER SHORT TERM

"Our customers have the option to defer payment via the Boozt24 platform. This additional service has proven to be a perfect compensation for the transport time. Customers can now pay when they actually have their order."

About Dutch Health

Dutch Health, headquartered in Nederhorst den Berg, is an internationally operating turnkey solution provider for the healthcare sector. The company develops, produces, and implements solutions ranging from medical equipment and supplies to fully equipped ambulance vehicles and boats, and even fully equipped hospitals. Dutch Health is now active in approximately 95 countries, primarily in regions where direct access to good medical facilities is limited by geography and/or political circumstances. To optimally support its clients, Dutch Health recently added pre-financing on invoice as a short-term finance solution to its services. With this, the company offers not only technical and logistical solutions but also financial support for the realization of projects within and outside the healthcare sector. Consider, for example, using pre-financing to enable the purchase of a large quantity of rice or sugar and its distribution to a few hundred small shops, thus making essential items available locally. "Essentially, any project that has a socio-economic impact is a good fit for us," says Marco Peetsma, Short Term Finance Manager.

Where others stop, Dutch Health continues

Dutch Health started small as a supplier of first aid kits for a project in Curaçao and has grown into a global player in the international social care sector. The company's strength lies in its ability to implement projects in places where other organizations fail.

If there's a need for patient transport in difficult-to-reach locations, Dutch Health supplies fully equipped vehicles and vessels, optimally adapted to the operating conditions. Are medical posts needed in areas lacking structured healthcare facilities? Dutch Health, in collaboration with local partners, will establish them! And these are just two examples of the projects the company is implementing.

The people behind Dutch Health are at home in diverse cultures and often bring knowledge and experience in other areas as well, such as architecture, housing, and turnkey solutions. Dutch Health always seeks local partners for the realization of projects and now boasts an impressive portfolio of manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.

Challenge

Dutch Health's customers – including large international organizations – share a significant challenge: the combination of long delivery times due to the often large distances and direct invoicing.

Invoices are issued upon shipment, while the customer often doesn't receive the ordered materials until months later. This places significant pressure on the customer's working capital, especially in the social care sector, where financial buffers are typically limited.

Solution

Factoring through Boozt24 allows Dutch Health to defer payment to its customers for up to 180 days. Dutch Health checks the customer's creditworthiness and then orders the goods. Based on the ordered products and delivered FOB (Fee on Board), Dutch Health prepares an invoice for its customer and submits it to Boozt24. This gives the customer the opportunity to defer payment. This additional service has proven to be a perfect compensation for transport time; the customer can now pay when they actually have access to the order. This gives the customer working capital flexibility. "Boozt24's flexibility is ideal for us and our customers; that's very convenient. The process is clear, and they can quickly switch to pre-financing for our customer as soon as the goods ordered are delivered FOB," concludes Marco.

The Result

Pre-financing via Boozt24 is ideal for Dutch Health customers to financially compensate for long transport times.

Many Dutch Health customers lack working capital. When ordering products, payment upon delivery puts a significant strain on their available funds. After all, payment must be made at the time of shipment, even before the order can be used. This is due to the often long distances over which deliveries must be made. The option of deferred payment through pre-financing on invoices therefore provides Dutch Health customers with some breathing room.
